An evergreen large shrub or small tree with small aromatic, glossy leaves. White fragrant starry flowers appear from mid spring to earlt summer and are followed by purplish black berries. A hardy shrub which is ideal for hedging and screening.

It reaches 3m high with a spread of 2m.

Position: Prefers a sunny to partly shaded position in moist, well drained soil.
