Murraya koenigii – ‘Curry Leaf Tree’

 

Price range: $16.99 through $29.99

An attractive large shrub or small tree that is a must-have in any Indian food lovers garden. The leaves have a distinct spicy, curry-like flavour that is perfect in Asian cooking.

Position: Requires a warm sunny but sheltered position in the garden protected from frosts.

Size & Habit: Up to 4m but easily pruned to shape.

Flower: Produces bunches of small white scented flowers during warmer months.

Foliage: Green leaves pointed at each end. 

Uses: Ideal for curries, vegetable dishes, chutneys and pickles. 

 Comments: Makes a good hedge or screen in the garden. Suitable for growing in large pots
