Michelia figo – ‘White Caviar’

An evergreen, rounded shrub or small tree with glossy green, oval shaped leaves growing to 4m high and 2m wide. Richly fragrant, creamy white flowers are borne in Spring and Summer. Thrives in moist, humus rich, well drained soil in a sunny to part shaded position protected from frost. During summer mulching around the tree will help retain moisture and keep the roots cool. Prunes well and makes a good hedge or screen with the bonus of having scented flowers. During Spring fertilise with slow release fertiliser to ensure healthy new growth and a great flower display.
