A hardy flowering tree chosen for its drought tolerance, soft foliage and showy flowers. Suitable as a shade tree in larger gardens and parks. Sometimes referred to as a โ€œCape Lilacโ€ or “White Cedar.”

Habit: 10m H x 8m W

Growth Rate:ย Moderate

Foliage:ย Mid-green pinnate foliage, turning yellow in autumn.

Flower:ย Panicles of lilac coloured flowers with a subtle fragrance from mid to late spring. Flowers followed by berries.ย 

Bark:ย Grey-brown bark forms textured furrows as it matures.

Position:ย Tolerates most soil types. Full sun to part shade.

Notes:ย Berries are attractive to Red-tailed Black Cockatoos however the berries are toxic to humans.
