Melaleuca huegelii – ‘Chenille Honey Myrtle’
$14.99
A gorgeous native shrub growing up to 8m tall and 6m wide with small, scale-like leaves. In spring and summer it produces long sprays of scented, white flowers which are very attractive to birds and pollinating insects.
It is a great plant to use in native, coastal and water wise gardens and it is very tough but beautiful. It is a great plant to grow as a wind break in gardens as it is able to handle strong winds.
It should be planted in a full sun position in well drained soil. If wanting it to stay compact it should be pruned lightly after flowering. It is able to withstand drought, frost, lime soils and salt spray.
