Scaevola spinescens – Maroon Bush

Called Murin Murin in Nyoongar, Maroon Bush is a hardy, dry weather shrub found all over Australia, except Tasmania and Victoria. Leaves, flowers, berries and even roots can be simmered in boiling water and consumed as a tea. Berries can be eaten straight from the bush.

Maroon Bush is a tough evergreen plant suitable for planting in drier areas, however soil improvement and regular water is required while young. Can grow 2 x 1.5m.
