An excellent maple with brilliant reddish-orange autumn foliage. Upright vase growth, sometimes more like a shrub than a tree. Colours best in the sun, but should not be planted in exposed areas where hot summer winds may stress the tree.

Growth Rate: Moderate

Foliage: Large, broad, rich green leaves are coarsely serrated. New growth is green with autumn colours in brilliant reds and oranges.

Flower: Insignificant

Bark:  Brown-green becoming grey with age
