Macadamia intergrifolia x M. tetraphylla – ‘Beaumont’
$29.99
An native tree able to grow up to 10m tall and 6m wide with glossy leaves that fade from maroon to deep green. In spring it produces fragrant, pendulous, pink flowers that slowly form in the macadamia nuts. The harvest period is all the way from March to July and you know the nuts are ready when they fall to the ground. The Beaumont variety is a fast, prolific fruiter that is easy to shell, making it perfect for the home garden.
It should be planted in a full sun position in moist, fertile well draining soils. It will benefit from the addition of mulch in summer and young plants should be protected from frost and strong wind.
