Syzygium – ‘Plum Magic’

A beautiful dense shrub with an excellent upright habit, the new foliage is a bright plum and the older growth is dark green. 2–3 m high and 1.5–2 m wide, this plant has the fluffy cream flowers typical of most lilly pilly followed by the edible pink fruit which adds another interest to this lovely plant. Ideal for along fence-lines and narrow driveways they are more resistant to psylids than other varieties so you can be confident that your pefect hedge will not be ruined by unsightly foliage. Perfect as a potted statement plant or in courtyards and larger sculptured landscapes alike. ‘Plum Magic’ prefers a moist well draining soil in a full sun to part shade position.
