A fast growing deciduous shrub. Highly fragrant deep reddish-purple, upright double flower clusters, with curling petals of a paler mauve in mid-spring.

Habit: 2m h x 2m W

Growth Rate: Moderate

Foliage: Mid green heart shaped

Flower: Fragrant, double, deep reddish-purple petals are slightly faded to give a two toned effect.

Position: As for all English Lilacs, plant the graft 10cm below the soil level and remove any suckers as they appear. Dislikes very hot weather so best grown in a sunny but protected position in Perth.
