Small flowering shrub producing fragrant leaves and flowers that have medicinal and edible uses. The essential oils in the leaves have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and can be used to treat insect bites, used for skin and respiratory conditions, and in perfumes and aromatherapy.
The leaves and flowers are commonly consumed as a tea but can also be used to add flavour to desserts and savory dishes.
A profusely flowering species that has the nickname of ‘White Cloud Bush’ and attracts many different pollinating insects when in full bloom in spring. It is a dense groundcover growing to 1.5m wide and 50cm tall. It should be planted in well draining soil and planted in full sun to dappled shade.
