A tall, upright, fast growing evergreen shrub. Large, cerise coloured, overlapping single flowers. Plant in groups or use as an informal border for great visual impact. It reaches 2.5-3m high. A colourful addition to any garden especially those with a tropical feel. Suitable as an informal hedge or screen.

Prefers a warm, moist, well drained site with slightly acid soil enriched with humus. Plant in a warm northerly position and some protection from harsh sun. Avoid frost.
