A lovely tropical shrub growing to 3m tall and 3m wide with large, glossy leaves. In summer and autumn in produces unusual, apricot flowers that have a lovely red centre.

They are perfect for adding an exotic, rainforest feel to the garden or can be grown as an informal flowering hedge or screening plant. 

They like a position in full sun to part shade, but must be protected from wind and frost. They should be planted in fertile, well drained soil and the soil should have mulch and well rotted compost applied to it regularly to protect the roots from excessive heat and water stress.
