We take orders all year round for Bare Root Trees. Stock is delivered each year in June and July. We will advise the cost and availability by email or text message when your trees have been received.

 “Red Aveline” produces nuts of excellent eating quality. Hazelnuts are very high in protein and can be roasted, blanched, cooked, or pureed. Prefers temperate climates. Best grown in a sheltered position protected from hot winds and with shade from hot afternoon sun.

Size: 4m x 4m

Nut: Medium, slightly rounded, thin shell.

Flesh: Red skin, excellent quality

Cropping: Autumn

Possible Pollinators: Due to a unique pollination system Hazelnuts are unpredictable for recommendation of cultivars.  Although both male and female flowers are borne on the same tree, they don’t always flower at the same time. Planting different varieties will assist with pollination.
