Hardenbergia violacea – ‘Native Wisteria’
$19.99 – $29.99
Often referred to as “Native Wisteria” for its cascading panicles of purple pea-flowers. Hardenbergia is an extremely tough, vigorous, native climber that will do well in almost any position.
Flowers are produced from winter to spring and will attract native butterflies, birds and bees to the garden. Leaves are dark green and eucalypt-like. Very fast growing, this twining climber will cling onto anything it can reach, so is great for quickly covering walls (with a trellis), fences, arches, pergolas and old tree stumps. Trim if tendrils begin to stray into other plants. Happy Wanderer can also be kept pruned as a shrub or ground cover.
For best results, plant into well-drained, improved soil in a sunny position. Will tolerate coastal conditions.
