We take orders all year round for Bare Root Trees. Stock is delivered each year in June and July. We will advise the cost and availability by email or text message when your trees have been received.

A narrow growth habit and tough disposition make this tree suitable for a wide range of sites. An ideal medium tree, it provides dappled shade in summer through the dappled evenly coloured pinnate foliage. Performs best in moist, deep fertile soils in a full sun position.

Growth Rate: Moderate to Fast  

Foliage: Dark green pinnate to bipinnate leaves, sometimes with a blueish hue. Yellow autumn tones.

Flower: Inconspicuous, fragrant

Bark: Dark, greyish-brown with long narrow ridges. Minimal thorns.
