Gardenia augusta – ‘Aimee Yoshiba’

A great shrub growing to 1.5m tall and 1.5m wide with deep green, glossy leaves. In late spring through summer it produces strongly scented, double flowers that are a bright white. 

 

It is perfect for mass planting, low hedges, specimen planting and growing in pots and containers. If grown in a pot it is able to be moved inside for a short time in order to enjoy the scented blooms. 

 

It should be planted in well drained, fertile soils in a part shade position. It should be mulched thoughout the year, especially in summer and fertilised through the warmer months.
