Feijoa sellowiana – ‘Triumph’

Delicious fruit on a useful, hardy small tree. Medium-sized fruit with an excellent sharp flavour. This is a grafted or cutting-grown plant that will grow true to form. 

Position: Full sun 

Size & Habit: Up to 4m tall and 4m wide with a vigorous upright habit

Flower: Attractive red stamens and white petals, spring to summer

Fruit: Medium oval, pale flesh with some seeds, soft and juicy

Skin: Green, wrinkled 

Cropping: Autumn, late-season 

Harvest/Maturity: Can take 2-3 years to produce fruit

Pollination: Self-fertile but will crop better with a pollinator

Uses: The delicious fruit can be eaten fresh, preserved or used in dessert recipes, even the skin can be used to make fizzy drinks. The plant itself can also be used as a cropping tree or trimmed and used as a productive hedge.
