Lemon Myrtle (Backhousia citriodora)

Dubbed the “Queen of Lemon Herbs”, Lemon Myrtle offers the purest source of natural citral, an essential oil with known anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antifungal properties. This is a strong herb with a refreshing citrus flavour and aroma, popular in teas, desserts, meat dishes and more. Lemon Myrtle (Backhousia citriodora) can be found growing wild in the subtropical rainforests of central and south-eastern Queensland.

Native herb products help introduce traditional bush food flavours to modern Australian cuisine. Each pack comes with a recipe card, allowing you to try the herb at home with confidence.
