Dietes iridioides – ‘African iris’

A hardy, perennial, clumping grass, Dietes iridioides is suitable for all kinds of gardens, from coastal to containers. Native to South Africa, Dietes tolerates a wide range of conditions and soil types, and has very low water requirements once established.

Dietes iridioides has pretty iris-like white flowers marked with yellow and purple. Flowers from spring through to mid-summer. Do not remove flower stalks as they can continue to flower for several years. Grows 120cm high x 60cm wide.

Use for borders, mass plantings, narrow spaces, or even as a feature, as flowers present an impressive display when in full bloom.
