Dichondra repens  – ‘Emerald Falls’

A low traffic lawn substitute with rounded, deep green leaves growing to 15cm tall and 2m wide. It grows and extends via runners which can help it either form a dense carpet over the ground or trail over the edge of pots. 

It is a great lawn substitute in areas that get limited foot traffic, it is also good to plant in-between stepping stones, around paving and trailing over retaining walls.

It should be planted in a part shade position in fertile, well drained soil. It should be watered regularly, especially during the drier months of the year and regularly fertilised with foliar fertiliser during summer and spring.
