An easy to grow plant with a flower that looks spectacular both in the garden and inside the home as a cut flower. It is perfect for mass planting, borders, pots and containers. It produces large flowers and may need to be staked to prevent snapping. It is a florist dream as it flowers better and for longer if the blooms are regularly cut. In cooler, wet climates the bulbs should be removed from the ground during winter and stored in a container with dry sawdust or potting mix.
