Cupaniopsis anacardioides – ‘Tuckeroo’
A tough tree able to grow to 8m tall and 7m wide. It has glossy green leaves and produces creamy flowers in autumn followed by ornamental orange berries in autumn.
It has non invasive roots making it ideal as a shade tree in small to medium gardens. It is also popular to use in council plantings as a street tree or park tree.
It needs to be grown in a full sun position but can withstand many soil types including clay soils. It is drought and frost tolerant once established. It should be mulched and fertilised with native slow release fertiliser in spring.
