Purple leafed form of the “Smokebush”. Tiny flowers give an impression of a large smoky haze above the plant, which gives rise to the plant’s common name of the Smokebush.

Habit: 3m H x 3m W

Width: 3m

Growth Rate: Moderate to fast

Foliage: Purple oval shaped leaves, changing to red to orange-yellow in autumn.

Flower: Tiny flowers look like a smoky haze.

Position:  Best leaf colour is produced in full sun.

Uses: Best planted in groups or borders, as individual plants can look quite untidy.
