Garlic chives look like chives but taste like garlic. This is a clumping easy to grow perennial herb with a light onion-garlic flavour. The showy white flowers appear on stalks and create an attractive display in the garden. The flowers are also edible and make an appealing addition to a salad or can be used as a garnish.
Bees are highly attracted to Chive flowers.
Flowering Season: Best in Spring and Summer
Position: Full sun. Prefer rich, moist soil.
Harvest: Cut green leaves like ordinary chives. Will tolerate heavy harvesting.
Uses: Add a subtle garlic flavour in uncooked dishes to replace raw regular garlic. Great replacement for garlic salts and powdered garlic.
Size: 60cm H x 30cm W
