An attractive, open chilli from the mountains of central Mexico. It has thin walled 5cm long fruit that are usually harvested green.

Position: Protect from fierce sunlight and wind. Needs well-drained but moist soil. 

Uses: Usually eaten raw when green. Thin skin makes it easy to prepare, often used in salsa and sauces. 

Harvest: Approx 8-12 weeks
