A popular, medium sized plant from Mexico. It is named after the town of Xalapa. One of the milder varieties of chilli. Widely eaten in many cuisines.
Position: Protect from fierce sunlight and wind. Needs well-drained but moist soil. May need support as it grows.
Uses: Widely used in a range of Mexican dishes. Can be pickled or chopped and added onto of tacos, burritos and enchiladas.
