Commonly known as ‘Valerian’. Centranthus is a shrubby perennial with erect stems, simple leaves and stunning tiny funnel-shaped flowers borne in dense terminal clusters. It is valued for its long flowering period, attractiveness to pollinators and suitability for dry, cottage style gardens. Grow in free draining, moderately fertile soil in full sun and dead-head regularly to promote flowering.
