We take orders all year round for Bare Root Trees. Stock is delivered each year in June and July. We will advise the cost and availability by email or text message when your trees have been received.

Please confirm your order after you receive notification of arrival. The Bare Root Trees will be held once you confirm your order.

Camellia japonica – ‘Hawaii’

$29.99

An extremely popular and versatile plant, it can be pruned into a small tree, shrub, espaliered or used as a hedge. They have beautiful flowers and are an excellent addition to any garden. They need acidic soils so should only be added into the ground when you have prepared the soil for them with lots of organic matter. They should be kept moist during summer with regular applications of mulch to keep the roots cool. 

‘Hawaii’ is an early to mid-season bloomer producing ruffled, double flowers that are a pale pink. The large flowers can be produced from autumn to spring. It grows up to 3m tall and 3m wide with glossy, dark green foliage. It should be grown in a position protected from the afternoon sun and heat, especially during the dry summer months.
