Breynia – Ironstone
Breynia cernua – “Ironstone Range”
An attractive evergreen shrub with reddish-brown foliage producing small green flowers that bloom during spring and are followed by red berries in summer, attracting birds to the garden. Suitable for low hedging and feature planting in gardens where the weeping stems and colourful foliage contract well alongside other plants.
Strong and hardy, it reaches 1m high with a spread of 1-2m.
Position: Grow in a sunny to partly shaded position. Can tolerate most conditions including periods of drought. Prune to maintain a dense habit and vibrant colour.
