Bougainvillea – Hawaiian Gold
Bougainvillea x buttania – ‘Hawaiian Gold’
A strong climber with long, thorny stems and large green leaves. Throughout the warmer months of the year it produces golden orange flowers that age to a pinkish gold. .
They are a great screening climber perfect for covering structures in the garden ranging from arches to sheds. The bright colours of the flowers lend a tropical feel to the area it is planted.
It should be planted in a full sun position in well drained soil in a position protected from frost. It should be pruned after flowering to encourage further flushes of blooms.
