A graceful specimen tree with silvery bark, and soft, feathery foliage. Best in full sun however birches do not like Perth’s hot dry winds. Choose a protected position with improved soil.

Height: 11m

Width: 6m

Growth Rate: Moderate  

Foliage: Unusual foliage with deeply cut margins, bright green turning butter yellow in autumn. May not produce good autumn colour in warm areas of Perth.

Flower: Catkins

Bark:  Bronze-grey when young then peeling to papery-white. Becoming fissured with grey-black patches as it matures.
