American heirloom variety that has a sweet yellow root (no staining!). Yong beets and young leaves are delicious. 

Growing Conditions: Full sun to partial shade. Well-drained soil. Can be grown year round. Plenty of water will make a tender root.

Harvest: 3 – 4 months after planting

Use: The leaves can be used in a salad and the sweet root can either be eaten raw or cooked.
