An elongated form of heirloom beetroot originating from Denmark. Both the root and the foliage can be eaten. The more the foliage is harvested the more it will produce. 

Position: Full sun with rich well drained soil. Keep moist but not wet

Uses: The leaves can be combined with Chard, Endive, Mizuna, Lettuce and Rocket. The root is best pickled and sliced for salads but can also be baked.
