A striking and versatile bean. Mostly used as a dried bean. When the pods rattle hang them upside down in a dry place. Mottled inedible pods change to tan and maroon when dried. Harvest from 60/70 days.ย
Position: Full sun with moist well drained soil.ย
Uses: Soak dried beans in cold water before use. Can be boiled until tender and drizzled with olive oil for a simple dish or can be used in soup, stews, casseroles, or salads.ย
