Rubus probus – ‘Atherton Raspberry’
$29.99
A tropical raspberry native to Queensland and Papua New Guinea. Berries are slightly larger in size and milder in taste than the exotic raspberry, and unlike the exotic raspberry, this berry thrives in our warmer climate. Fruiting is typically in summer and autumn, and berries are ripe when they almost fall from the stem when touched. This is a vigorous plant that may take over the garden if left unchecked, so growing in a pot is recommended. Plant in good soil in a sunny position. Can grow to 2x2m.
Eat fresh or use in jams, jellies, cakes, and syrups.
