Deep maroon/purple spears and tips, creamy flesh. Fast growing and extremely hardy, high yielding. 18 months from planting till the first usable harvest. Produces a crisp, tender, sweeter thick spear.  A long lived herbaceous perennial. Harvest young shoots in spring.

Plant in a full sun/part shade position in improved, well drained soil.
