FEATURES: Often called “Hardy Elephant’s Ears”, this Alocasia requires very little help to be magnificent. An easier to grow variety, this one will make you a very proud plant parent whether you know what you’re doing or are just in it for the vibes.

HEIGHT X WIDTH: Leaf can grow up to 1.5m long x 1.5m wide

FOLIAGE: Huge glossy, dark green leaves, with metallic burgundy/ purple tones on their undersides

FLOWER: Insignificant

POSITION: Bright, indirect light, can tolerate lower light situations

USES: Gift for a beginner green thumb, hydroponics, containers, indoor jungle, fast growing houseplant for an impatient recipient, under planting in shady, tropical gardens, balconies, patios and next to bright windows. 

COMMENTS: This plant is toxic if ingested. Plant in well-draining, chunky soil mix that can retain a little moisture (add coco chips), Fertilise during spring/ summer for full plant potential.
