Alocasia reginula – ‘Black Velvet’

Alocasia Black Velvet is an exceptional, compact houseplant with luxurious black velvet leaves. It is only a small alocasia growing to just 45cm tall and 30cm wide which makes it a perfect plant for desks and windowsills.

Thrives in a humid, brightly shaded area, with good, loamy soil. Indoors, keep in a bright, naturally-lit room, but out of direct sun. It should be planted in a well draining potting soil and watered regularly, the soil should be kept moist. 

In winter the plant may go dormant and should be left alone in a dry place until spring when it will being to grow again.
