Acalypha wilkesiana red – ‘Fijian Fire Plant’

Price range: $16.99 through $29.99

A bright shrub growing up to 3m tall and 3m wide with large, colourful leaves (ranging from burgundy, red, yellow and green). It flowers during summer however the flowers are insignificant when compared to the foliage. 

It is perfect for providing contrast in the garden thanks to its lovely red leaves. It can also be used as a hedge or screen as it has large, dense foliage. 

It should be planted in full sun or a lightly shaded position in fertile, well drained soils. It should be fertilised with a slow release fertiliser in early spring or summer. It is drought tolerant once established but will appreciate occasional deep watering in summer.
