FOLIAGE: Lush green, wide, oblong-shaped leaves

FLOWER: Spectacular flower spikes bearing pink or red bracts and white or yellow buds from November to March

POSITION: Prefers a rich well drained soil in full sun to part shade

USES: Well suited to ornamental gardens and tropical courtyards. Rhizomes can be used in sweet and savoury cooking

COMMENTS: This is a tropical plant that can be grown in pots, indoors in cool climates.
