FEATURES: This rare and hard to find, collectable aroid, formerly known as a philodendron, has been recently reclassified as a thaumatophyllum, a “tree philodendron” that develops a trunk over time and sheds its lower leaves. This is a must for anyone dreaming of an indoor jungle, as it will add instant tropical vibes with the bonus of easy care. You need to see the mature version of this plant to really appreciate it. As with most Philodendrons, leaves will increase in size and shape will change with age.

HEIGHT X WIDTH: 1-1.5m x 90cm

FOLIAGE: long, pointed glossy, green leaves arranged on stems in a unique spiral pattern

FLOWER: Insignificant

POSITION: Bright, indirect light

USES: Houseplant gift for someone with a humidifier, gifts for plant collectors, tropical gardens, patios, shade houses, greenhouses, feature plant, indoor jungles

COMMENTS: Needs well-draining potting mix, fertilise monthly during the warmer months of the year with a foliar fertiliser or a liquid fertiliser. Repot only when rootbound, in spring or summer. Allow the top 3cms of soil to dry out before watering. Toxic to pets and humans if ingested.
