An evergreen large shrub or small tree with deep green aromatic leaves. Masses of cup-shaped small white flowers appear from mid Summer to mid Autumn and are followed by purplish black berries. A hardy shrub with which is ideal for hedging and screening. If left to grow into a tree it has lovely cinnamon and gray bark similar to a crepe myrtle.ย
It reaches 5m high with a spread of 4m.
Position: Prefers a sunny to partly shaded position in moist, well drained soil.
