Bulbine bulbosa

Bulbine bulbosa is native to central Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, eastern South Australia, and Tasmania.

This plant has a sweet starchy corm that can be eaten year-round, as well as edible roots and seeds. Considered the sweetest of the lily plants, the corm can be roasted before eating.

Native Leek prefers moist conditions, especially in the lead up to the growing season. Plant into loamy, well improved soil in a sunny to dappled shade position.
