Hibiscus rosa-sinensis  – ‘Shirley Howie’

Price range: $19.99 through $29.99

A great, medium hibiscus reaching 2.5m tall and 2.5m wide with glossy, green leaves and cerise and lemon flowers from summer to autumn. 

 

This plant is a great informal hedge, screen or specimen plant and is great for tropical themed gardens. 

 

It should be grown in full sun to part shade in fertile well drained soils. It will appreciate being mulched to protect the roots from climate extremes. New growth can be damaged by frost so be sure the danger of frost has passed before pruning the plant in spring.
