Hibiscus mutabilis – ‘Rose of Sharon’
$16.99 – $29.99
A deciduous hibiscus able to grow up to 5m tall if left unpruned. It has large, green leaves with an unusual five pointed shape. The most unique point of this plant however is its colour changing flowers, from spring through to autumn it produces white flowers that progressively turn pink then red before they fall from the trees.
It is a lovely specimen plant in the garden, especially in a spot where the colour changing flowers can be observed.
It should be planted in fertile, well drained soils in a full sun position. It should be pruned to shape in September. During the flowering period it should be regularly fertilised and watered.
