Thysanolaena maxima – ‘Tiger Grass’

Price range: $16.99 through $99.99

‘Tiger Grass’ is an excellent bamboo substitute that is great for tropical gardens or to use as a screening plant. It can also be grown in large containers for a screening option in courtyards. It reaches heights of 3m and can grow to 2m wide. Unlike true bamboo it will not produce side shoots or damaging runners. It is frost sensitive and needs to be in an area protected from frost. Plant in rich well draining soils in a full sun position.
