Magnolia grandiflora – ‘Kay Parris’

 

Price range: $44.99 through $114.99

A compact evergreen tree reaching 4m in height and 3m in width. Leaf blades are shiny dark green with the underside reddish brown and felted, this particular cultivar is unique in having a wavy leaf edges and pink new growth. It produces large, fragrant, white flowers from Autumn through to Summer when the tree reaches 3-4 years old. It is relatively fast growing making it a good choice to use as a hedging plant. It is also very hardy and not often targeted by pests. It needs watering while establishing and during Summer months if it is very dry.
