Ziziphus jujuba

Also known as red date, Chinese date, and Chinese jujube. They have large and round fruit with a crisp texture and excellent flavour. Fruit can be picked at the yellow/green stage however the best flavour is obtained when half the fruit has turned reddish brown. Mature fruits are 40-60mm in diameter. 

The Li jujube tree is one of the very best self-fruitful varieties, making it an ideal choice if you only have space for one tree.
