A very rare semi-climbing bean well regarded by British and American gardeners since the 1790s for its cold tolerance. It keeps producing well into late autumn, hence its name. It is known as a pea bean for its versatility as a shelling and drying variety, and has one of the most beautiful seeds. An excellent addition to the garden to extend your season.
